Biblical Reflection - October 27, 2023

"It is the LORD who goes before you; he will be with you and will never fail you or forsake you. So do not fear or be dismayed" (Deuteronomy 31:8)

Reflection:

• Often I think we find ourselves in a state of worry or panic, especially in the materialistic world we have been brought into. We live in a world that hates morality, a world that rejects it. And often we fear what will happen when we are true to ourselves. But we can't worry, for God is literally next to us. He puts his hand on our right shoulder and tells us to "be not afraid." How often do you trust in God?

• God and his love have conquered the universe. He has conquered death and satan. There is no power left in death, for Christ our Lord defeated it, with his archangels, his warriors, at his side. As we walk through the battles of life, let us have our warriors by our side, who stand firm with us and Christ. How can you invite Christ and his angels to be with you and fight with you against evil?
