Today we have a short reflection as I ask you spend some time watching this video from Fr. Mike Schmitz from the Seek24 Conference. You can see more information about that at the end of this short post.

On the feast of the Epiphany, we celebrate the three magi seeking out Jesus. They left their native lands, despite not being Jewish, to find the King of the Jews. They went into the unknown and followed a star, a sign they knew was from God. Thinking about this for a second, it is perplexing and miraculous: Three Non-Jewish Kings went into the unknown, following a star they believed to be from God, to find the King of the Jews, only to find a baby in a lowly manger. It is miraculous because this type of trust in God seems so foreign to us. This is because we live in a world where it seems odd to truly follow God, to truly devote one's life to God and follow Him, no matter where that star may take them. So this year, this 2024, let us seek Him, no matter the obstacles, no matter where it takes us. Because when we truly seek Him, we find Him, we find something beautiful, something miraculous.
